I Am Cleaner
My cleaning experience started as a child being taught by my Mom. I was always tasked with the annoying job of dusting. At the time, I couldn’t have imagined that cleaning would end up being the most fulfilling job I would have in my lifetime, or that it would be constantly evolving and teaching me new things every day.
Experience over the years
I got my first paid cleaning job when I was 14. I kept cleaning as I pursued other positions: waitressing, printing, silk-screening, making meals for seniors in their homes. With each job there was an element of cleaning that helped me hone my skills. In 1997 I decided to start my cleaning business; Lorraine’s Fast & Efficient Cleaning.
Ten years ago, a friend asked me to help train his girlfriend cleaning techniques and to show her how to acquire clients of her own. It felt great teaching someone how to clean efficiently and share the cleaning tips that I had learnt over the years.
I Am Cleaner
After this experience, I started thinking about training cleaners to raise the quality of cleaning being offered to the public. Home and business owners hire a professional cleaner to do the job properly, however they don’t always get the results that they are paying for. My workshops and training for professional cleaners focuses on improving quality of service of both new and experienced cleaners.
I pride myself on the way that my clients describe walking into their space after its been cleaned. My favorite client saying is “There’s clean. Then there’s ‘Lorraine Clean’.” My mission is to ensure that every client serviced by my team has that same experience.
